This'n'that

I'm back...miss me? It's been quite a while; I've been a bad bad blogger...but you've never been far from my mind, my internet peeps! OK:

• Lu was sick last weekend, and while the sickness cleared up pretty quickly she was just a grump for most of the week. I did manage to get my missed day off, on Monday, which was delightful even in the midst of grumpsville. BUT
• She got happyhappyhappyHAPPY on Thursday night, and has given us the most delightful several days. Her usual HappyGirl™ tricks -- blowing kisses with accompanying "mmwwah" sounds, smiling so big and hard that she literally vibrates with glee, excited (and nonsensical) utterances (ha! law school education paying off!) all over the place. WHICH
• Led to a great improvement in the walking over the past 4 days. Back a month ago when she finally got it going, she would just walk straight lines: object-from-which-she-was-ejected to object-upon-which-she-falls. Recently, though: standing still, turning mid-course, navigating obstacles, launching off objects on her own, letting go of our hands willingly...baby's almost there! (She still can't get up to standing from the middle of the floor...she's got to figure those mechanics out yet.) WHICH
• Makes us want to do a happy dance. Seen this? Everyone and their neighbor has, but in case you haven't...watch. I promise it'll make you smile:
