Lucy recently discovered her groove within the past few weeks, and has been a singing and dancing fool (she walks around the house with her arms by her side, hands pointed out to the side like a penguin, humming. Adorable). I thought I'd share her dancing playlist, in case other kiddos are in the market for some new tunes. Let me first say that I'm so sorry, Pogues and Pixies...I'm quite certain you didn't intend for your music to be used to make a 2 year old bounce. (Katrina and the Waves and the Archies, though...you guys were just asking for it). These are the top five:
1. Tuesday Morning, the Pogues.
2. La La Love You, the Pixies (bad sound quality on this video but the acting! The drama!)
3. Sugar Sugar, the Archies
4. Walking on Sunshine, Katrina and the Waves (wow, there are some odd videos on YouTube! I don't know why but this made me laugh out loud (and maybe snort, in a very ladylike way) for the better part of an hour at work today.)
5. Stay up Late, The Talking Heads (must use anti-jinx spell when playing this song...god, no. Please don't really stay up late!)

I always knew she had good taste.
She has excellent taste.
Although, at least it's not the Pogues Hell's Ditch that she's grooving to. It would not do to have her singing "Life's a B*tch, Then You Die, Black Hell".
:-)
I was about to ask for a mix tape for her bff...until I read the comments.
That is one mighty good puppeteer on the Katrina and the Waves vid. You should know that my mother has discovered your blog (via mine) and she has decided that your baby girl is the CUTEST ever. Which I think is fine. But... that title USED to belong to me. So thanks a LOT. But she is really, really cute. So I guess that's okay. I don't mind being second cutest baby.
forget the kids...I'm adding these to my playlist!
girl after my own heart. plus come on? a penguin dance? hellllooo. THE BEST.
i'm falling in love with your lucy.
