My aunt found this old picture of me. Don't I look like I'm manically trying to scalp my poor blond doll by hand -- that tooth-gritting grin, that death-grip on her hair? Which makes the setting quite appropriate, since it seems like I'm in some kind of prison cell: white walls, bed with sheet but no blanket, stark blinding lighting against plain white walls...

OK, maybe you were a bit freaky but I loved you all the same!! This is your bedroom in the Indian Health service house in South Dakota, where you took your doll and put on your Little House on the Prairie hat and watched Laura May Ingels till your little heart's content! You were there for your 2-3 year old life!
Laughing at your interpretation of your baby pic. You do look a bit maniacal, but sweet too. Maybe you just didn't like the blond hair of the doll? She was not the smartest doll, now was she?
